Established by Dan Robinson in 2018, Running with Wolves is a performance hub and community for endurance athletes providing integrated support including coaching, physiology testing, sports psychology, strength and conditioning, physio and more.
Dan took up running in 2009 improving from a 3:10 first marathon to a 2:29 PB achieved whilst representing the England Athletics Masters Team. Since starting to work with Professor Andy Lane and Dr Ross Cloak at Wolverhampton University he has partnered with England Athletics to provide physiology testing for their Marathon Programme. The results of this testing have been presented at England training camps. His research has been presented at academic conferences and published in a number of prestigious journals.
As a coach, he currently works with international Hayley Carruthers as well as a number of athletes on the England Marathon Development Programme. His greatest challenge probably remains his ongoing battle to be recognised as THE Dan Robinson by the Marathon Talk Podcast.
Our aim is to work with athletes to optimise performance whilst valuing life commitments. We don't believe that this represents a compromise, many athletes benefit from focusing on their interests and responsibilities outside of sport to enhance their performance in training and competition.
